People think of Hollywood as a place where everything is glamorous and expensive, but if you are looking for reasonably priced accommodations, you will be able to find many Hollywood cheap hotels. There are many things to do in and around Hollywood. Staying in Hollywood means that you can be situated centrally. Choosing a central location means that you won’t have to be checking in and out of hotel rooms during your travel, which can lead to wasted time. Check in time is usually between 3 and 4 pm, and many hotels require you to check out by 11 am. This means that you have to drag your luggage around with you until it is time to check into the next hotel. It’s not an issue if you’re traveling 4 hours to your next destination. You can walk the red carpet at the Hollywood & Highland, home of the Kodak theater. While visiting Hollywood, you will want to see many attractions, so of which can be quite pricey. You will definitely want to spend a day at Universal City Walk and theme park. The theme park is a lot of fun and can easily take and entire day. They do offer a studio tour, but if you are interested in taking a tour, you’re better off going elsewhere. The Universal Studio tour is not one of the better tours. Paramount offers a lot more behind the scenes touring. Studio tours generally run about two hours. You’ll want to make reservations in advance. Also, studio tours are offered during working hours, which means no tours on weekends.
Inexpensive hotels usually don’t have views, so don’t expect to see the Hollywood sign from your hotel, but you can see it easily from Hollywood & Highland and from many other locations around town. You can even see it from the airplane if you’re landing on a clear day, and if you’re on the right side of the airplane.
If you are visiting Hollywood during the summertime, you may want to look into getting tickets to the Hollywood Bowl. The Bowl, offers an outdoor concert experience, unlike any other. It is one of the best concert venues anywhere, and offers a wide range of entertainment for all tastes. You can take along a picnic and enjoy the park before your concert begins. Tickets sell out early, so make sure to book in advance.
Your hotel will also be near many of the Hollywood Tours. Skip the tour of the Stars Homes. Most celebrities no longer live in Hollywood. The information given on these tours is often inaccurate. You’re better off going on a tour of Haunted Hollywood or Historic Landmarks, or a general City Tour.
If Sunset Strip is a “must see” you’ll want to go at night and stop into some clubs. Clubs of note include the Comedy Store, the Roxy, the House of Blues, the Viper Room, and the Whiskey A GoGo. After clubbing you can easily nip back in to your Hollywood cheap hotel to catch some much needed rest before beginning your next day.
